It is the genetic disease most widespread in the world.

LET US ACT NOW!

DORYS is an association against Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) or sickle cell anemia. It’s a genetic disease due to an anomaly of the hemoglobin contained in the red globules provocative their deformation and their destruction. Their destruction involves a severe chronic anemia and their deformation is accompanied by very painful circulatory troubles. It is the most widespread in the world but ignored genetic disease. It touches approximately 50 million people with a predilection for the Black Africa, Afro American, Antilles. About half of the children with this disease die before being detected in the countries in the process of development. There are treatments today but none leads to a total cure. This is why the essential consists in the treatment of the symptoms resulting from the crises: transfusion, oxygen treatment, hydration, analgesia.

Help us to fight against the sickle cell disease
